Die Gesellschaft schlägt zurück! Ein figurationssoziologisches Simulationsmodell von Ansteckungsprozessen am Beispiel der Zombieapokalypse

Abstract

Ausgehend von der Kritik an einer essentialistisch und individualistisch verkürzten Perspektive der Wissenschaft auf den Zombie, entwickeln wir ein Gegenmodell auf der Basis der Figurationssoziologie von Norbert Elias. Wir nutzen Simulationsverfahren in Kombination mit netzwerkanalytischen Verfahren, um den Verlauf einer Zombieapokalypse als einer sozialen Figuration zu modellieren. Abschließend diskutieren wir die methodologischen und empirischen Implikationen dieses Modells für die Erforschung von Epidemien und sozialen Ansteckungsprozessen.
