Abstract

Der Artikel diskutiert am Beispiel synthetischer CDOs die Rolle von Misstrauen im Vorfeld der Finanzkrise von 2007. Dabei wird die These aufgestellt, dass das Misstrauen gegen die Ratingagenturen eine Ressource für neue Investitionen in den Markt war. Paradoxerweise hatte das Misstrauen also keinen abkühlenden Effekt auf die Märkte, sondern stellte sich stattdessen als Motor für immer neue Investitionen dar. Entsprechend wird die Position stark gemacht, die soziologische Beschäftigung mit Misstrauen nicht auf den Fall von bereits eingetretenen Finanzkrise einzuschränken.
